Vandals in action in Albignasego: they jump on cars, they are seven minors

ALBIGNASEGO. Vandals in action during the night: they walked over the parked cars and broke a rear window. They are all minors.

On Friday, shortly after 11 pm, the attention of some inhabitants of Via San Tommaso was attracted by a great noise coming from the street. Looking out, they were able to distinguish a group of boys – apparently teenagers – dressed in sports suits of various colors and equipped with flashlights, intent on climbing on foot over the cars parked along the street and near the nearby public park.

Witnesses warned the Carabinieri when the rear window of a brown Fiat Croma on which the boys had climbed shattered. Once on the spot, however, the men of the Arma could not help but ascertain the damage caused to the car, since the authors had now disappeared.

In the meantime, also thanks to word of mouth through social media, many other citizens – including the director of FdI Rossano Moracci – wanted to mobilize to network with each other and exchange information, in order to track down the perpetrators of the damage as soon as possible.

On Saturday morning, the agents of the Pratiarcati Local Police proceeded to collect the recordings of some surveillance cameras, thus tracing the identity of the vandals. Recognized in turn by an eyewitness, the perpetrators of the damage were seven, all minors.

Since these facts can only be prosecuted after a complaint by the injured party, the Local Police of Pratiarcati will keep the recorded images in its possession pending the interested parties to submit a formal complaint. The mayor of Albignasego, Filippo Giacinti, also wanted to speak on this episode: «The Carabinieri are already investigating what happened. Those responsible will answer for their actions. Thanks to the gunmen, to the Local Police who promptly checked the images and to the citizens who collaborated with the police, demonstrating a great civic sense “.––
