VANDALISM IN THE SUBWAY: Football fans sprayed a fire extinguisher in a car full of people – Society – Bulgaria – Hello, Bulgaria

Vandalism on the subway after a football game on Tuesday. Fans sprayed fire extinguishers into a train full of people. The driver and the police had to intervene. The people who flagged us down said they started suffocating by the time the train stopped at the next station.

Metropolitan “Metropolitan” explained that after 20:30 the football fans boarded the train on the “Slivnitsa – Business Park” route at the “Sofia University” metro station.

“Shortly before the “Zapaden Park” metro station, the driver received a signal about an unsealed cover of a fire extinguisher, and 3-4 seconds later calls began to stop the train and open the doors”, explained Nikolay Nikolov, head of the “Operation” department at the Metropolitan “Stolichnyi”.

“The fire extinguisher users find themselves worried at some point. After 15 seconds, the train stops at “Zapaden Park”, the doors open and everyone runs away”, explained Nikolov. According to him, there were probably only fans in the carriage, about 15.

There is no information about casualties. No passenger sought help from the metro station staff. There are also no data from hospitals about casualties.

That evening, there is a bent ceiling panel in a train that runs on line 3, the Metropolitan Metro also explained. There are also other damages – stuck stickers, distorted interior systems.

“Part of the substance sprayed by the fire extinguisher also got into the ventilation system of the train. In order to remove it, the air ducts had to be disassembled,” said Nikolov.

This is not the first time. And before after a football match, there was a similar case in a train of the third line.
