The old building of primary school De Bron in Barneveld has been fenced off. Demolition will start this week.

Since the old primary school De Bron in Barneveld has been empty, vandalism to the building has increased enormously. The municipality of Barneveld decided to take measures to limit the nuisance, but that turned out not to be enough. That is why the demolition of the building will start this week, earlier than planned.
A spokesman for the municipality of Barneveld reports this. The old school on Dr Kuyperlaan has been empty since spring break, after the 160 students moved to temporary accommodation on Lijsterstraat. “Soon after the move, the first nuisance arose,” says the spokesperson. “The nuisance then quickly increased enormously.”
