“Vancouver Company Eyes Mining Potential for Zinc, Nickel and Cobalt in Mauricie Region”

A Vancouver company, Lincoln Gold Mining, is interested in the mining potential of the Mauricie.

The company would be looking for zinc, nickel and cobalt. According Le Nouvelliste, a large wooded area seems to be particularly targeted by the company. This zone would be found in the regions of Saint-Boniface, Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc and Saint-Élie-de-Caxton.

Interviewed on the show Always in the morning, the prefect of the MRC de Maskinongé, Jean-Yves Saint-Arnaud, deplores not having obtained any information on the project. He also recalls that the MRC is asking for a moratorium so that the Government of Quebec temporarily suspends the granting of new mining titles on the territory.

If an owner accepts that these people come to take samples on his land, I don’t think we can do anythinghe mentions.
