Michael van Gerwen became a father for the second time on Wednesday evening. His wife Daphne gave birth to their son who got the name Mike.
My wife did very well. Mike, welcome to this world ”, a proud Van Gerwen wrote with the hashtag #supermom on his Twitter.
Mike is the second child of the world’s number one and his wife Daphne. Their first child was born in 2017. It was given the name Zoë and is now two years old.
Earlier, Mighty Mike was candid about the desire to have a second child. The couple had previously suffered miscarriages, the three-time world champion said in conversation with RTL News.
“The darts often go well, but it was less in that area. We’ve had a miscarriage a few times and I know that it’s generally not so easy to talk about. They are just rock situations. ”
He continues: “And if it’s not easy and you walk in and out of the hospital, that’s not nice. Especially not when you talk about it. It is something that you cannot buy with all the money in the world. That hurts every now and then. And not only for me, but also for my wife ”, Van Gerwen recorded last year.
