The new measure that former football players and celebrities are no longer allowed to appear in gambling advertisements puts an end to TV commercials with prominent football faces, such as those of ‘King Toto’ and BetCity. Former football players such as Andy van der Meyde see a lucrative source of income disappear. “This saves me money. I think I should go on the highway with the tractor”, responds the former football player of Ajax and AS Roma with a laugh.
