Van der Bellen as a “bridge builder”?

After his first inauguration, the Federal President announced that he wanted to be a bridge builder. Many years have passed now and the bridge is still missing. He prevented FP voters from shaping politics from the start because, in his opinion, the FPÖ, especially the current president FP Kickl, is playing with fire – regarding the critical course of the EU . Austria is a small country that depends on exports, so according to Van der Bellen it is not in Austria’s political or economic interest to cut itself off from the union. By the way: The FPÖ does not stand for leaving the EU, but for a return to the beginning of the Union, that is a big difference! The Federal President Van der Bellen does not give an order to the Freedom Party to form a government. What will he do if the FPÖ wins the Absolute? Will he then get permission from Brussels? If the European Union and its receivers push through the agreements with America (CETA, TTIP) and South America (Mercosur) without ifs or buts, our economic level will be damaged – especially our agriculture. The Austrians do not understand their unbroken loyalty to the European Union in this matter at all! What was not predicted for the British after Brexit, as well as Switzerland, Iceland and Norway, but these countries are rightly laughing at us, because without the EU they are still masters of the a country of their own and they have not died. Talking about the election of the National Council: The Federal President wants a grand coalition, although it has decreased, with a green-pink cover, the main thing is that he does not have the FPÖ! He should comply with his wish, because according to the constitution the Federal President has no duty, perhaps even no right, to intervene in the formation of a government. If you look at all this, Austria and, from Sunday, Styria must have voted wrongly, because apparently they did not expect the result of the election. Hopefully the Federal President will not intervene in the establishment of a government in Styria too!
