Despite the fact that Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is only two months away from us, fans of the dark universe have many questions about what exactly it will entail. Questions that NACON now answers with a new trailer and a corresponding press release.
Starting with the setup: When mysterious assailants go after the Boston Camarilla, the city’s largest vampire society, leader Hazel Iversen orders three confidants to find out who is thinning their ranks. Galeb Bazory is the oldest survivor of the group and can use his Domination to take over people. At the same time, he is cunning and adept at confrontation, proving time and again that he can make problems… disappear.
Leysha is more of a supporting character. Her unique ability is Obfuscate, which allows her to change her shape for easy infiltration and erase traces of vampire presence. After all, Emem is a social monster, who has close ties with almost all vampires and can therefore go the diplomatic route much more easily. Very handy if you need to collect information. And her unique ability, Celerity, amplifies these powers.
These unique abilities, as well as the skills your characters learn through their character sheets, are needed to uncover information during investigations and during Confrontations. These spoken battles require you to use all your abilities to break an enemy’s resistance so that they willingly uncover their secrets. But don’t go overboard, because these powers make you thirsty. And as we know you don’t exactly make a vampire happy with a glass of Coke.
But if you must feed, stick to the Masquerade. After all, your existence must remain a secret.
