This week, Valve has launched Steam Link exclusive to the user MacOS. This feature is for players, especially those who frequently stream games. Current user MacOS can download Steam Link from Mac App Store.
Steam Link is a platform that allows users to play games from a host computer to a device such as an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. Compared with the application Steam official, version MacOS will not harm the user because the file size is 29.8 MB. Whereas native apps will require users at least 1GB of storage prior to installation. Which is added Valve is a huge contribution to the gaming community MacOS has a large online game application.
Earlier this month, The Verge reported that Steam Link a Linux version will be released soon. To install the application Steam Link , you have to download it first and find a compatible device that will match the controller in use. Then you can connect it to your computer to start streaming Steam Link Games from PC.
Application Steam Link lets you play games across the computer. Just attach an MFI or Steam Link controller to your Mac.
Valve also released the Remote Play Together feature which allows users to engage in multi-game streaming on the internet. This can be done by inviting friends to join and watch the game stream.
According to Valve, application Steam Link on macOS it is most recommended to use a 5GHz or Ethernet Wi-Fi network. As a running requirement Steam Link for macOS, you must have MacOS High Sierra version 10.13 and above.
This feature is also cross-platform supported, which means that even if you are a Windows user, your friends using other platforms can still join your stream. Additional devices running Windows or iOS are also required.
Apple initially rejected the application Steam Link from the App Store in 2018 due to prohibiting developer guidelines. A year later, it returned to the platform to the App Store after Valve and Apple work together to resolve guideline issues.
