Valve is happy to see Microsoft’s Game Pass on Steam

In a new interview with PC Gamer Valve’s CEO Gabe Newell says that the company currently has no plans to develop its own Steam Pass equivalent for Microsoft’s Game Pass.

“I do not think it’s something we feel we need to do ourselves, build a subscription service right now,” says Gabe Newell and continues.

“But for their customers, it’s definitely a popular option, and we’d been more than happy to work with them to get it to Steam.”

So there is no information that Game Pass is on its way to Steam, but that Valve is willing to make it possible.

In 2021, the Electronic Arts EA Play service appeared on Steam.
