Extreme heat prevails in Europe, and in some places in Sweden it can be up to 35 degrees during the day (thanks, DN). Whew! For me, “ginger kid”, the pain threshold is already around 25 degrees.
Amidst current heatwaves, Nintendo has been making calls for its Switch console, and now Valve is doing the same with its Steam Deck. In a tweet explains that the gaming laptop “performs best” in places where the thermometer lands between 0 (noted for winter) and 35 degrees.
If it is above 35 degrees, Valve warns that the Steam Deck may struggle to protect itself. Internally, the machine copes, Valve explains in a subsequent tweet100 degrees, but at 105 it automatically shuts itself down to “protect yourself (and you) from harm”.
