Edition The Verge paid attention that in August Valve has certified the new Steam Deck model through the US Federal Communications Commission.
Its number is 1030, and it matches the number of an unknown Valve device that passed certification in South Korea that same month.
In the latest description of the new Steam Deck model it says about the new Wi-Fi 6E standard, support for which appeared in the FC66E chip from Quectel, through which, by the way, the certification operation was carried out. It is expected that the updated Steam Deck may receive many more changes and improvements.
Valve itself, we recall, previously advised not to expect a more powerful Steam Deck in the next couple of years.
