Valve Announces Change to Dollar Payment Currency in Argentina and Turkey

Starting November 20, 2023, Valve will change the payment currency in Argentina and Turkey to the dollar.

Developers must set a new price “LATAM-USD” that includes Argentina and “MENA-USD” that includes Turkey by November 20th. By default, the US dollar price will be set as is.

Pricing in Argentine pesos and Turkish lira has long been a problem for developers, as exchange rate fluctuations have resulted in games being sold at unintentionally low prices. This change is expected to alleviate these concerns.

The changes in the dollar price will affect 25 countries and regions in Latin America, the Middle East, and North Africa. Please see Steam News for FAQs and procedures regarding this process.
