Valters Pūce has written a new song for the sensational Darta Stepanova in tandem with Patrisha

The new single “Brīnumzeme” has been released by the talented singer Dārta Stepanova, who stood out this summer with the sensational radio hit “Go Next”. The music for it was composed by cellist Valters Pūce, who also created the new hit. Again, the author of the words is Patrisha.

“When I heard the music written by Walter without the lyrics, it immediately became clear to me that it was a dream come true,” says Darta Stepanova. “Patrisha and I quickly came up with the idea of ​​what we want to say with this song – not everything in life happens as planned, and in such moments I used to take refuge in my dreams, because I feel safe and confident in them. This is a song about my deepest feelings. ”

“I’m really glad that I had a very successful collaboration with the band Dagamba, and I’m very pleased that Walter Owl chose me this time as co-author of Darta’s new single,” says Patrisha. “This makes me feel valued as a young artist, and it gives me more confidence in what I’m doing, as well as getting me out of my comfort zone when writing a song for another artist.”

The lyrics themselves are quite interesting. “I was on holiday in Turkey, sunbathing when Walter wrote me a message that a new song for Darta was needed,” Patrisha recalls. “I immediately agreed, but before that I contacted Darta to find out her thoughts on it. After the conversation, the message of the song became clear to me and I was amazed that its words came to me within an hour. Probably because, despite the distance, I felt Darta’s emotions and at that time I was further away from my daily routine, in my wonderland between the palms. ”

Violinist Aleksejs Bahirs, pianist Dainis Tenis, bassist Edvīns Ozols, drummer and electronic instrument master Artūrs Jermaks, Celtic harp player Ilze Grunte and double bassist Alise Broka also took part in the recording of the song “Wonderland”. “This line-up of musicians with excellent playing skills has made the new song especially magical and saturated,” says Valters Pūce, who is also the producer of the single in collaboration with Arturs Jermaks. “While writing for Wonderland, I wanted to include orchestral sound in the pop genre.” The new single has been made in two studios – “Auss” and “Marana Productions”, and a video of the lyrics has been created for it.

Singer Darta Stepanova has been on the stage for more than ten years. So far, he has collaborated with such artists as “Menuets”, Marts Kristiāns Kalniņš, Karīna Tatarinova, Agnese Rakovska, Jānis Aišpurs, the group “Dagamba” and others.
