Valoptim awarded at the Pyramides d’Or of the FPI

On December 15, 2021, the FPI France awarded the Trophée Pyramides d’Or Prix Bâtiment Bas Carbone to Valoptim, real estate developer in the Ile-de-France region, for its project “My Wood Loft”, made from 100% wood for Sorita in Montreuil (93).

The building sector is undergoing a transformation to be able to respond to new challenges: global warming, the housing shortage and the quality of urban life. New real estate projects are emerging to make cities more eco-responsible and more pleasant to live in. This is particularly the case in IDF, where more and more green town planning projects are emerging. The building and construction sector has a strong environmental impact, representing 38% of CO emissions2 global. The players in the sector have become aware of this danger. Reduction of CO emissions2 is their priority today. To know that today, it is not only a question of polluting less, but of achieving a “neutral carbon” activity. Beyond that, some real estate developers are even aiming for a “positive carbon” activity. In other words, an activity that offsets direct or indirect greenhouse gas emissions through the installation of green walls or the planting of trees.

A competition that rewards real estate programs in terms of sustainable development

The partners of the National Pyramides d’Or 2021 reward the best constructions in France. The event is organized by FPI France. The real estate developer Valoptim was awarded the Pyramides d’Or Trophy for the Low Carbon Building Prize, sponsored by EDF. The SME is asserting itself vis-à-vis large groups and wishes to pursue its green strategy. Edouard Pellerin, president of Valoptim, notes: “Our desire is to leave beautiful real estate imprints made in consultation with residents and communities”. The winning project is that of “My Wood Loft”, made 100% in wood for Sorita in Montreuil for the superstructure and the facing, it is built on an embankment made from inert materials recycled from demolitions of the old building. It is a hybrid green habitat and “full connected” with technologies on mobile application allowing the management of lighting, heating and shading. The project aims to maintain cohabitation between humans and animals in the city. For this, there is the largest microfauna wall in IDF, the function of which is multiple. For the management of the flora and fauna of these residences, Valoptim has set up support from an entomologist at the service of the inhabitants. To promote its own projects and contribute to other environmental objectives beyond its sector of activity, Valoptim is part of the WWF France SME Club.
