Last year, we managed to double the sales of “Kokmuižas” soft beer brewed in Valmiermuiža. This year it is planned to introduce new flavors of “Kokmuiža” non-alcoholic beer and start exporting them.

Last year, the sales of the porter, which is becoming more and more popular as a dessert beer, also managed to increase by 22%. At the beginning of the last century, Baltijas Porteri brewed and exported all the most famous breweries in Riga, and it is the most famous beer style in the world, which originated on the shores of the Baltic Sea. “The export of the porter to Estonia and Great Britain was started last year, which is planned to be developed,” says Ruņģis.

Last year, we managed to increase the sales of “Delicious Mouth” jellies by 45% in the range of soft drinks and develop their export to Lithuania and Sweden. Last year, 60 tons of local garden food was bought from local farmers to make zelter, but this year it is planned to develop new zelter flavors and buy already 72 tons. “By choosing zelter as an alternative to imported lemonades, Latvian gourmets support local small farmers, and the tastes of Latvian zelter also have export potential,” says Ruņģis.

SIA “Valmiermuižas alus” is a small manor brewery, which is 100% owned by SIA “Valmiermuižas investicijų fonds”. It was established with the purpose of developing craft brewing in Valmiermuiža, popularizing Valmiermuiža as a destination for gourmet tourism and promoting the export of craft beer made in Valmiermuiža. 60% of the fund is owned by the brewer Aigars Ruņģis, 24% by the Austrian investment fund Industrieliegenschaftenverwaltung AG (ILAG) and 16% by the Austrian company MVF40.
