At the end of the season, the old master Varis Brasla was honored.

The actors who played the most during this season – Klinta Reinholde, Mārtiņš Meiers and Anna Nele Āboliņa.

At the end of the season, the director of the theater Evita Sniedze thanked the team for the past season, which was not easy due to both the pandemic and the reconstruction work started. But also expressed concern that next season will be just as challenging and unpredictable, because unfortunately, for various reasons, construction work is not going according to plan. As a result, the living conditions of the employees will not improve at the beginning of the season, but the director expressed hope that the creative uplift and power gained this season will continue and expressed his admiration for the team’s ability to be cohesive, disciplined and creative.

I would like to hope that we can quote Līga Ulbert, a theater critic, for the objective description of this season: very different works, some of which in other circumstances might benefit from a larger stage, but in general the breakthrough is undeniably powerful – directors of all generations, from great classics to contemporary Latvian authors. “

The theater will start the new season on August 2, celebrating the eighth Valmiera Summer Theater Festival and returning to the Round Hall with performances, as well as going to Riga for guest performances, where tickets are already available.
