This year Larisa Dolina is celebrating her 50th anniversary as a concert performer – at 17 she became a Philharmonic soloist.
In an interview with the writer Tatyana Ustinova, the People’s Artist of Russia spoke about her teaching activities. Larisa Alexandrovna is the head of the department of pop-jazz vocals at the Institute of Culture. Kobzon:
– My pupils are still children, and I teach them everything. Right down to how you have to dress so as not to harm your voice. Never go out without a scarf. Girls are not allowed to walk in light tights in winter … And it is strictly forbidden to sing on the so-called critical days. This is dangerous for the voice, – the singer cited the opinion of doctors who believe that the mucous membranes, including the edges of the vocal cords, swell during this period and can be injured during exercise.
The 11-year-old granddaughter of the singer Alexander (from her only daughter Angelina), meanwhile, is not studying vocals with her grandmother, but with her friend, the father of the late Yulia Nachalova, Viktor Vasilyevich. And, according to the mother, shows great promise.
