The harvest season has begun and one of the first to be carried out in our country will take place in the V Region.

We are referring to the IV edition of the San Antonio Valley Harvest Festival, which promises a panorama for all wine lovers with a very unique offer: high-end wines, thanks to the benefits of the unique climate of the area. , colder, with a particular minerality and less thermal oscillation, due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean.

The musts that will be tasted by attendees have the San Antonio Valley Designation of Origin, some are organic and/or from grapes from sustainably managed vineyards, as well as produced with grapes from the San Antonio Valley, so this is a must for those who vibrate with national wine tourism.

When and where will it take place?

The invitation to be part of this first-class wine experience is for this Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Viña Hacienda San Juan, located on Camino Leyda a Santo Domingo, kilometer 11, in the commune of San Antonio (there will be parking in the place exclusively for attendees).

The objective of this new edition is to continue promoting the visibility of the San Antonio wine valley, the Denomination of Origin of its emblematic vines, the protection of the environment in which it is developed and the sustainable production of its wines, as well as the promotion and support of wine tourism and gastronomy linked to the San Antonio valley.

Those who participate

This IV version of the wine festival is organized by the San Antonio Valley Vineyard Association and will feature the participation of seven of its associates: Viña Garcés Silva, Viña Leyda, Viña Matetic, Viña Casa Marín, Viña Casas de Bucalemu, Viña Ventisquero Ventisquero and the host Viña Hacienda San Juan; all vineyards awarded internationally for their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Riesling strains, among others.

In addition, the IV San Antonio Valley Harvest Festival will offer a unique experience in a unique location that stands out for the heritage and aesthetic value of its old park, which will welcome the public who attend to enjoy dishes and drinks from this coastal valley. , which is recognized nationally and internationally for the excellence of its wines.

Musical and gastronomic accompaniment

Regarding the pairing, the local coastal gastronomy of the valley stands out, represented by the “Chef del Mar”, local chefs with recognized experience in the area and gourmets from the countryside, with preparations that will allow the tastings to be harmonized with sea and land dishes, such as ceviches. , crabs, chupes, marine broths, empanadas and lamb, among others; all dishes that attendees can try at the party.

Live music will be provided by the ensemble of Central American melodies “Borde Costa” and the flamenco rumba of “Cheo Appel”, traditional and Buenos Aires music to liven up this pleasant day in an outdoor environment surrounded by incredible vegetation and vineyards.

There will also be crafts and gourmet products, which will be offered by local entrepreneurs, with the aim of highlighting the productive value and identity of the port sector and the valley itself; as well as entertainment for children, magicians, grape stomping, folklore displays and private and guided wine tastings.

It is estimated that around 1,500 people will arrive at this wine festival, who will be able to enjoy a premium selection of the seven producing vineyards that are the most unique in the country, since they produce closer to the sea than any other national valley.
