PT Adaro Energy Tbk held the General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) online on Wednesday (9/2). The change of name of the company became one of the topics of the meeting.
The EGM was held after reach a quorum according to the law. There are three main agenda of the meeting, namely: change of commissioners, board of directors, and the company’s name change. Now, the company is engaged in the coal mine to PT Adaro Energy Tbk.
“The replacement of the name of the Company confirms back to our identity as Indonesian company. We hope to continue to contribute to the nation and the country,” said President and CEO of Adaro Energy Garibaldi Thohir in an official statement.
In the meeting, shareholders approved a change in the composition of the Board of Commissioners following the resignation of Raden Pardede of the Independent Commissioner Adaro Energy.
The board of Commissioners appoint Budi Bowoleksono as a substitute of Raden Pardede to the office since closing the EGM until the close of the AGM in 2023 future.
Then on the composition of the board of directors, Adaro Energy appoint Michael William P Soeryadjaya as a Director of the company for a term of 2022 to 2026.
“Changes in the composition of the Board of Commissioners and the board of Directors of the Company will further strengthen the leadership in the Company. The track record of mr. Budi Bowoleksono and mr Michael William P Soeryadjaya will enrich and add value to our team,” said Garibaldi.
