JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Pertamina fuel price 2022 undergoing changes that take effect from Thursday (3/3/2022) today. Several types of fuel have increased in price.

Rise in fuel prices applies throughout Indonesia for general or non-subsidized fuel types, namely Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex.

Meanwhile, Pertalite price per liter did not change. Likewise with price of Pertamax 2022still referring to the previous provisions.

Pertamina Subholding Commercial And Trading Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting assessed that, despite the increase, Pertamina’s fuel prices were still more competitive than other operators who had already raised the prices of their fuel products.

He added that Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex are fuels for the affluent people whose portion is only 3 percent of the total national fuel consumption.

Meanwhile, for Pertamax and Pertalite fuel types which are more widely used by the public, there is no price increase.

“The price of Pertamax and Pertalite fuel has not changed,” said Irto Ginting to Kompas.com, Wednesday (2/3/2022).

Determination Pertamina fuel price 2022 refers to the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 62 K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the Basic Price Formula in Calculation of the Retail Selling Price for General Types of Gasoline and Diesel Oil Fuels that are Channeled through Public Fuel Filling Stations.

The increase in the price of non-subsidized fuel varies in each region or province, ranging from Rp. 500 to Rp. 1,100 per liter.

As in the DKI Jakarta area, the Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) increased from Rp. 13,500 per liter to Rp. 14,500 per liter.

Then the Dexlite with Cetane Number (CN) 51 increased from Rp 12,150 per liter to Rp 12,950 per liter, and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) increased from Rp 13,200 per liter to Rp 13,700 per liter.

Pertamina’s reason for raising fuel prices

Previously, Pertamina had raised the price of non-subsidized fuel on February 12, 2022, following other operators who had already adjusted fuel prices in the midst of rising world crude oil prices.

Now, the fuel price hike is happening again. Irto said the adjustment was made because the world crude oil prices continued to soar.

Currently world crude oil prices have penetrated the level of 110 US dollars per barrel. No doubt, Pertamina’s fuel prices also rose.

“Adjustments follow global market prices and are in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and prices will be reviewed regularly every two weeks,” said Irto.
