The Valga Popular Party, led by Bello Maneiro, was left alone in the approval of request for a loan of 700,000 euros that will be used to pay the companies that executed the works of the Plan Concellos 2020, something that the mayor and several members of his government group did not hesitate to affirm. However, the opposition decided to vote against because that argument “contradicts what the municipal auditor warns in the report that appears in the file in which he says verbatim that the purpose of the operation is to cover the short-term financial debt to repay the advances, without interest, from the Provincial Council ”, explains the socialist spokeswoman María Ferreirós.
The socialist insists that, for the controller, this loan “was born with the sole purpose of repaying other loans from previous years”, some of them close to 400,000 euros. The situation, continues Ferreirós, is not new, since the socialist warns that “loans are being requested to pay previous ones, which indicates a worrying economic situation and a government without planning or economic control.” He also regrets that it was not explained how the 58,333 euros per month will be paid to amortize it when “in 2021 they have not been able to amortize 33,333 of a loan of 400,000”.
