“The US and NATO are focused on securing their hegemony in the Arctic and limiting Russia’s presence in the region. For this purpose, they increase their military presence in high latitudes (Arctic regions) and develop military infrastructure near the borders of the Russian Federation. As a result, the potential for conflict in the Arctic is increasing,” the Russian general pointed out.
