Valeriu Gheorghita, president of CNCAV, says that new types of vaccines are currently being studied by researchers so that they can be adapted to the new strains of Coronavirus that are generating a huge new wave of infections worldwide.
Valeriu Gheorghita says that if new vaccines are developed that are more effective than the current ones, and if that happens, then a third dose of vaccine may be needed for people to benefit from immunity and bigger.
“Probably, if we have a high prevalence of these infections among the population, we may need to take a third dose with the vaccine adapted to the new strains.”
