Today in Paris, all of Lambo’s check-ups were successfully completed: petscanner, full thorough examinations, including bone marrow samples. The conclusion of the French doctors is that he successfully fought the insidious disease and his remission is going very well. And they even praised the Bulgarian team treating him.
I talked to Stefan on the phone – he was in a great mood, he was laughing, he told me in detail about the examination. He is accompanied by Prof. Georgi Mihailov, the head of the national hematology department, who has been applying a successful method for his treatment for the past six months. His wife Maria, who stayed in Sofia, gave him courage and strength all the time.
After all, Lambo never “surrendered”. He knew he would win this time too, he was an indomitable optimist – as he had been all his life. In an interview with “Press”, in which he spoke in detail about his illness, he warned: “Don’t write me off! I won’t raise the white flag.” And never picked it up.
