/ world today news/ We will support the mandate of the Reform Bloc in introducing certain corrections related to our main priorities – increasing pensions, solving the issue of border protection, the migrant flow, continuing the reforms in the economy and energy, solving the problem with domestic crime and improving the climate for small and medium-sized businesses.
This was stated by the co-chairman of the Patriotic Front Valeri Simeonov after a meeting with the RB in the parliament, a BGNES reporter reported.
The meeting took place in an extremely benevolent tone. My colleagues from RB have always gotten along with half a word, Simeonov said after the nearly one-hour meeting.
“We are coming out united around the goal of preventing another governmental and corresponding parliamentary crisis, because we believe that Bulgaria needs stability, and not another timelessness, chaos, caretaker government, which was insisted on by the BSP. We do not want such nonsense – a caretaker government for 20 days and then another appointed by Radev. We believe that in this National Assembly we have the necessary majority to continue implementing this program that we signed up for,” Simeonov also stated.
For his part, the resigned Minister of Health, Petar Moskov, declared his firm personal position and on behalf of the resigned cabinet, that the demands of the PF are important priorities. “They have been largely successfully implemented within the two years of government with good clear steps and meaningful results. This effort must continue,” Moskov is convinced.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the RB, based on the decision of its Executive Council, continues with preliminary meetings and talks to examine whether there is a possibility of a permanent majority, united around policies in this National Assembly, which would issue a reformist government. “On the basis of these consultations, we will inform the PG and the Executive Council of the RB. And we will make our final decision whether we will take the implementation of the mandate on Monday or return it to the president, with gratitude for the honor given to the Bloc”, explained Moskov.
According to him, there are common things and RB, PF, even GERB “the other day agreed that it would be much better for the state not to enter a spiral of uncertainty and uncertainty”. “The question is whether this is possible and on what points. With GERD and PF, we have many commonalities, but we also have many differences that can prove overwhelming. Talks continue. The decision on how the Bloc will proceed with the mandate will be taken by its governing bodies”, explained Petar Moskov.
He pointed out that at the meeting with the PF no names were discussed for a possible future cabinet, but they talked about a possible format. “From RB, we do not see any other possible format, except the format of the current majority, with possible additions. We categorically exclude the participation of BSP and DPS in this format. For us, the main preliminary talks were with our coalition partner GERB and with the PF”, said Moskov.
However, the retired health minister explained that personally he was rather skeptical about the possibility of such a formula, but the Republic of Serbia would “go ahead and go all the way publicly. “So that it can be clear on the basis of what can happen or if it can’t, why for God’s sake can’t we go to elections in the absence of a clear reformist possibility, which in the absence of a clear reformist majority is more – the best option”, emphasized Petar Moskov.
For his part, the co-chairman of the PF Krasimir Karakachanov stated that the talks from the meeting will be explained to the United Patriots coalition. “The meeting was preliminary in terms of the fact that the president is expected to hand over a mandate to the RB on Monday,” Karakachanov pointed out.
According to him, the PF managed to convince the RB with several arguments that there is a resource for increasing pensions and that this is an irrevocable condition of the patriots. Karakachanov is of the opinion that “this circus that GERB made last week” (at the time of the adoption of the budget note, ed.) was organized due to the fact that they were influenced by outsiders. “GERB knew very well about our idea about pensions, because we defended it in the first reading and it was submitted in writing. How on Tuesday you say that you will support us, and on Wednesday you say that our request for an increase in the minimum pension was a serious problem and they would not support us”, Krasimir Karakachanov added.
