“We go every year, it’s a nice event, and most importantly, the lookout tower is accessible. You never get tired of the view from Velké Kosíř, even though the cloud cover is low today, so it’s not quite the same,” smiled husband and wife Eva and Lubomír, who arrived from Prostějov in the afternoon.
On the top of Hana’s Mont Blanc, many couples were together. Some were snuggling with a glass of sparkling wine or a welder in hand, others while roasting dumplings by the covered fireplace.
“They take pictures near the heart, kiss each other. That’s the way it should be,” praised the warm atmosphere of Ivo Richter, who worked at the watch tower’s cash desk.

The Kosířsko microregion, which takes care of the lookout tower, prepared a Valentine’s Day surprise for all lovers on Saturday.
“One ticket says ‘win’ and the other has a heart. Some take away sweets and promotional items donated by the municipalities of the microregion, and others are lucky. And love, for proof of which they can kiss…,” Ivo Richter explained the rules.

The tradition of Valentine’s hikes with a surprise was created in 2014 and has been a success every year since then.
In winter, the viewpoint on Velký Kosír is in operation rather exceptionally, in case of good weather. Regular weekend, holiday and Friday afternoon operation starts from April 1.
