Valentino Rossi Participates in Commenting on Marc Marquez’s Action to Vinales: Okezone Sports

MUGELLO – Petronas Yamaha SRT Team racer, Valentino Rossi, participated in commenting on Marc Marquez’s behavior with Maverick Vinales in the 2021 Italian MotoGP qualification. He also did not want to miss the opportunity to express his opinion about the unpleasant situation.

After qualifying MotoGP Italy, Marquez is again being targeted because of his controversial tactics. He was considered to have made unfair tactics when undergoing the first qualifier with Vinales.

As is known, Marquez and Vinales had to undergo Q1 after failing to score the best time in the first to fourth free practice sessions. However, Vinales failed to continue his action into Q2 after finishing third in Q1 or 13th overall.

Marquez experienced a different thing, who advanced to Q2 after taking advantage of Vinales. The Repsol Honda Team racer deliberately followed Vinales to make him a reference in one lap.

As a result, Marquez has the right to continue his steps to Q2 after recording the fastest time in Q1. However, the 28-year-old driver could not speak much in Q2 and will start the race from 11th place.

Furthermore, Marquez’s tactics then received a cynical response from the Yamaha Team Manager, Massimo Meregalli. He considered the strategy played by Marquez was unfair and hoped for a punishment.

However, Valentino Rossi does not want to be stuck with an opinion that blames Marquez. VR46 admitted that it was not the right thing to do, but he did not want to comment further on Marquez’s actions.

“We saw what Marquez did. This is nothing new. You know what I think and I don’t want to add anything else,” said Valentino Rossi, quoting from Tuttomotoriweb, Sunday (30/5/2021).

“We can talk about it at the safety commission. It happens a lot in Moto3 so they have to introduce special rules.”

“They can also expand it to Moto2 and MotoGP, although I don’t know if it’s feasible,” concluded the 42-year-old racer.
