Spielberg

Valentino Rossi Come watch the practice MotoGP Austria 2023. The Doctor caught being a ‘driver’ of his student’s motorbike, Marco Bezzecchi.

The Austrian MotoGP practice takes place at the Red Bull Ring, Friday (18/8/2023) evening WIB. Bezzecchi managed to be the fastest with a time of 1 minute 28.533 seconds.

Bezzecchi ahead of Maverick Vinales and Francesco Bagnaia who finished second and third. Brad Binder, Johan Zarco, Jorge Martin, Aleix Espargaro, Alex Marquez, Fabio Quartararo and Miguel Oliviera filled fourth to tenth.

There was an interesting moment at the end of the practice session. Motorcycle Marco Bezzecchi broke down at Turn 4 on the way back to the garage.

Lucky, Valentino Rossi had arrived at the edge of the track when Bezzecchi’s motorbike ran out of fuel. The MotoGP legend then hitchhiked Bezzecchi on a scooter back to the paddock.

Bezzecchi commented on the moment his motorbike broke down until he was back in the garage with Rossi on his back. He had apparently predicted his ride would run out of gas and parked where his mentor stood waiting.

“We were lucky in the final, in the first time attack I had a problem with the motorbike. I came back, collided quickly and ran out of gas,” said Bezzecchi quoted from Corsedimoto.

“We didn’t take into account the bike to keep going and I tried to go as far as possible. When I saw Vale I stopped there,” Bezzecchi added.

“We chatted and I asked him if I had enough time, because I haven’t looked at the screen yet. He told me I was the fastest,” he said.

Valentino Rossi has indeed been at the Red Bull Ring Circuit since Friday morning. He oversees Bezzecchi and Luca Marini, his riders on his Mooney VR46 team.
