Valentina Vignali: Robbery in Milan Metro and Appeal to Return Stolen Items

Valentina Vignali joins the long list of people who have been victims of thefts and pickpockets in the Milan metro: the basketball player and model, after losing her wallet, made an appeal to the robbers to at least ask for the return of her driving license and some personal effects she cared about a lot, including a photo of his grandfather. The news, however, aroused the laughter and satisfaction of numerous social media users, causing disbelief and dismay in the 32-year-old.

Theft

Vignali was robbed when she was at the Loreto station to get on the M2 green line train that would take her to Milan Centrale: from here she would continue her journey to reach Verona.

It is the basketball player herself who tells what happened to her yesterday, Saturday 11 November, via her Instagram profile. “I was on the phone”, the girl tells her followers, “I’m on the subway because it’s a mess today with taxis and everything else, practically at the Loreto station stop a guy pushes me”. “Then the doors close and it comes out”, she explains, “obviously, I already knew it, I said to myself ‘Ok, she stole my wallet‘. In fact, I opened the bag and the wallet was no longer there”. As often happens, a moment of distraction was enough for the heist to be successful: a situation that is repeating itself more and more frequently in the Milan metro.

“Okay… these c***s, keep your wallet, keep your money, keep everything”, says the model turning to the robber, “but I need the license, doing it again is a pain in the ass. So please, come on, you will have recognized that it was me, get me my driving license again somehow: keep everything, money and wallet, but the patent mi serve”.

Memories

After the initial outburst, however, the 32-year-old returns to Instagram to make a new appeal to the criminal who targeted her: there is something even more important than the document that has disappeared and which she particularly cared about. “I don’t give a damn about money, about the value of my wallet, or about all the credit cards and, in fact, not even about my driving license (the most important document for me is the passport, because without it I don’t travel),” Vignali writes in a related message of a picture of her in tears. “But there was a photo of me inside grampa which is no longer there”, he specifies, “a beaded bracelet with the name of a friend of mine from when I went to school that we had done at the seaside, my old piercing and other small things whose value cannot be estimated.. .Fuck you.”

The attacks

Under the post with the story of the basketball player, many flocked to pour out their hatred towards her. “They shared the story with me on a page that talks about Milan”, says the model. “I read the comments and I’m afraid of people’s meanness. But do they pay you to be so mean? How scary. There are people who are happy “. Vignali says she is shocked by the gratuitous attacks she suffered in just a few hours. “A thousand different nuances that wouldn’t even occur to me: when a bad thing happens to a person, who I don’t even know, I’m sorry. The others enjoy it as if I had stolen their boyfriend: I’m shocked”, concludes the 32-year-old.
