VALENTINA ROSARIO – National Lottery driver will be questioned this Friday

The presenter of the National Lottery Valentina Rosario Cruz, involved in the fraud that occurred in the institution’s draw on May 1, will be questioned for the first time by Public Ministry authorities next Friday.

The interpellation is scheduled for 1:00 in the afternoon of that day, according to the statements offered this Wednesday by his legal representative, Frank Reinaldo Fermín Ramírez.

This, despite the fact that the driver has already gone on several occasions to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic, although Fermín Ramírez maintains the position that she has not been questioned, since she assures that he must be present during that process, something that says it has not happened.

“The Office of the Attorney General or any Public Ministry can question any person under investigation without the presence of a lawyer, that is, if I am not there, they cannot question her,” the lawyer told members of the press, adding that he only appeared at that place to inquire about the date of the interrogation.

In the same way, he again assured that he did not listen to what Miguel Mejía, the blind person who participated directly in the fraud, said during an interview that he did not pass the winner of the contest to Rosario Cruz.

No declarations

Again the lawyer avoided giving statements on behalf of his client, who has repeatedly avoided talking to the press about his possible participation in the case of the May 1 raffle.

The case

The fraud occurred in the draw on May 1, when the winning pool in the first balloon was about to be known.

At that moment, Mejía introduced his right hand and pretended that he had extracted the winning bolus. Later, he made the gesture of passing the skittle to Rosario Cruz, who showed it to the cameras, as she held it between her little and ring fingers.
