There are many people in Sofia who are ready to start a war with Russia, and to begin with, the Minister of Defense will be expelled, says the geopolitical analyst.
“This war will end in the first days of March with the victory of Russia. Russia is winning this war, and this is not known only to the rabid Bulgarian media, which for 48 hours have not been able to get away from the hysteria induced by some countries.” This is what the geopolitical analyst and university professor Valentin Vacev told BNR.
The world is moving from unipolarity to multipolarity. Two more global poles of power have appeared – Russia and China, Russia currently has a military-technical superiority over the USA and is not afraid to go to war.
The transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world means a huge amount of regional but brutal wars, which considered collectively, can be called the Third World War, Vacsev believes. According to him, the Third World War will represent a network of local violent conflicts in which Russia will fight against NATO.

Russia is fighting to prevent Ukraine from joining NATOthis is the only real political goal of the Russian leadership, he emphasized.
“Russia was left with no opportunity to do anything else. Several times President Zelensky seemed ready to negotiate for a neutral status of Ukraine, but some strange forces around him did not give him the opportunity. Zelensky is under enormous pressure. He is not the subject of all his will. He knows he’s losing this war.”

According to Vacev the Ukrainian president is a “hostage of this war and will only survive if he plays by his advisers’ rules.’
So far, an agreement is seen between Russia and Washington that Russian troops will not enter the west of the border that separates Western Ukraine from Central Ukraine, therefore ambassadors and other diplomats are safe in Lviv, noted Valentin Vacev.
According to the analyst, the stated goals of the war are contradictory because, for example, denazification would require decades and is expressed in “overcoming the pathological zoological Russophobia in some representatives of Ukrainian society”, in which there is a “very powerful ultra-right zoological anti-Russian stratum”.
“Healing Ukrainian society from Russophobia will take a period in which generations are born and change. So the second task that Putin sets is not realistic.”
Those who will fight to the last cartridge and drop of blood are the volunteer battalionswho have nothing to lose as long as the Ukrainian army behaves sensibly and the flow of surrendering Ukrainian soldiers does not stop, Valentin Vatsev also said.
Economic sanctions against Moscow will be met with inconvenience, they are unpleasant, but not insurmountable, commented Vacev.
“Mr Borel has his merits in the process of nationalization of the Russian elites when he announced – no more shopping in Milan, no parties in Saint Tropez and no more diamonds in Antwerp. This is also the desire of the average Russian – to cut off the oligarchs.“

At this stage, there is a consensus between three of them, Valentin Vacev explained. In his words the sanctions against Russia’s elite are intended to communicate to those sanctioned that they must overthrow Putinbut for now politically the Kremlin is unconditionally consolidated against the background of deepening pressure on the Russian elite.
“Let’s see if Putin can maintain the political consensus among the main Russian political elite groupings.”

Vacev also asked the question whether China ‘won’t use the mess to pull in Taiwan’because it has all the technical capabilities to do so, but also pointed out that it is “an empire that works with the categories of eternity.”
“China can do just that, right now. But I would be extremely surprised if he did. That won’t be Chinese.”
