/Pogled.info/ If the crisis with the election of the Speaker of the National Assembly is overcome, the probability of having a government, however, remains small. The reason is the categorical refusal of Continuing the Change/Democratic Bulgaria to form a coalition with GERB, stated at the press conference. Minutes after the briefing, at which the Harvards together with Democratic Bulgaria, who have so far been particularly talkative with the media, but this time refused to answer any questions, Boyko Borisov wrote a short but meaningful message on Facebook: “With patience, it is achieved much more than with stubbornness…” Subtly and at the most appropriate moment, he reminded them that he extended his hand to them for a coalition, but they “stubbornly” refuse it. Now all the responsibility and blame for a failed government falls on them.
The government of GERB – political or expert, supported by DPS and BSP is in serious question not because the votes will not be enough for them, but because the Sofia smart beauty will have a motive to go out on the yellow cobblestones to protest against the status quo, the mafia, etc. And exactly this is not what Borisov wants to do to himself, after driving the Harvards and the Democrats into a corner helped by them.
The situation will be more interesting during the second mandate in the hands of PP/DB. Their cabinet bid will not be supported by anyone except possibly the BSP, which was already in coalition with them, but their votes will be insufficient to form a cabinet. If this happens, however, the Centenary will bear crushing negatives, because support for the formation of Kiril Petkov, Asen Vasilev and Hristo Ivanov would mean unequivocal support for the war.
It will be interesting to see the choice of President Rumen Radev for the third mandate of the party. He would certainly avoid giving it to Vazrazhdane, because the neoliberal formations will immediately stick to him the ridiculous accusations that he wants to take the country out of the EU and NATO, that he is a servant of the Kremlin and other wild things. If it falls into the hands of the BSP or the DPS, the situation with the first term may be repeated, in which the Yellow Party supporters will go out to protests with the familiar slogans. It is not clear what Slavi Trifonov’s group will do if the hot chestnut falls into their field, but it is unlikely that his party will want to carry the cross to form a government and remove all the negatives from the crisis the country has been plunged into.
Therefore, it is very likely that we will go ahead of the locals to new early parliamentary elections in July, the outcome of which could seriously change the political landscape.
Then it is not excluded that the coalition between We continue the change and Democratic Bulgaria will fall apart, after the significant losses incurred in the last vote. In the elections preceding those on April 2, the two political formations had a total of 73 people’s representatives, while in a union they won only 64 mandates. In addition, the tension between them is growing, and by refusing to form a government with GERB, they will reap even more serious negatives.
If PP and DB split for a possible vote in July, the probability of “Vazrazhdane” becoming the second political force is extremely high. Kostadin Kostadinov’s party is not only on the rise, but a few days ago it also submitted over 600,000 signatures for a request for a referendum to postpone Bulgaria’s entry into the Eurozone, which is an absolute success. And precisely this success of Vazrazhdane could prove to be a motive for forming a government of the right, headed by GERB in the name of their Euro-Atlantic “happiness”.
We will soon find out what will happen to the political mess. Of course, everything can develop differently, because we are used to the dominant part of our politicians swearing by a decision in the morning and by the evening they have forgotten it and do the opposite of what was stated. Dovchera explained that they would not form a coalition, but tomorrow they could marry each other. That is why our state is like this today – because of the pretended amnesia of old politicians, neglect of people’s interests and their greed for power.
And that’s exactly why the people slapped them.
And this is just the beginning!
