Brighton is experiencing the second successful season in a row and one fresh reinforcement should help it to further successes. The latest acquisition of the English club is Valentín Barco.
The 19-year-old Argentinian comes from his hometown Boka Juniors and signed a four-and-a-half-year contract on the islands, the South American team will receive a severance payment of 9.15 million euros.
“We’ve been following him for a long time and we’ve been hugely impressed by the progress he’s made both at club and international level. He’s a huge talent, but it’ll be important to give him enough time to adapt to the new environment and the Premier League. We’re looking forward to what will make progress under Robert de Zerbi,” says technical director David Weir.

Barco can play on the left wing as well as on the edge of defense and has made 35 appearances for Boky Juniors’ first team. He preferred the offer from Brighton to moving to Manchester City.
