Two people were slightly injured Wednesday evening by three masked men during a robbery at the home of Valencia’s Dutch midfielder Justin Kluivert.

“Three masked men broke into a house in Pietera,” in the eastern suburb of Valencia, where the robbery resulted in “two minor injuries,” police said.

According to local newspapers, the injured were two women, including the player’s partner, who called the police.

At the time of the robbery, Justin (24 years old), the son of former international striker Patrick, was with his team that plays Thursday evening with Real Mallorca in the Balearic Islands in the Spanish Football League.

According to the police, the thieves stole several items, the value of which is currently being assessed. Local newspapers reported that the possessions included watches and money worth 150,000 euros.

Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker Rodrigo was also robbed in May near the capital, Madrid, as were his fellow defender Dani Carvajal and French striker Karim Benzema.

In October 2019, the Spanish police announced the dismantling of a network of thieves whose targets included players from Atletico and Real Madrid.
