VALENCIA (EFE). The Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies has allocated 20.53 million euros to the payment of the Valencian inclusion income in the month of April, of which about 16 million are for aid for energy consumption and for the payment of the mortgage or the rent.
A total of 70,083 people from the Valencian Community are recipients of the Valencian inclusion income, according to the monthly balance corresponding to April.
By provinces, 28,954 correspond to the province of Alicante, 4,363 to that of Castellón and 36,766 to the province of Valencia.
The benefit is granted through a single window system, which allows that when a person requests the rent, in addition to processing the aid, all those supplements that they may need are also managed, such as housing and employment aid. energy consumption, and they also have direct access to school or dining scholarships, university enrollment, in those cases in which it is necessary.
Thus, of the 35,130 people who own the income, 4,504 also receive the rental supplement, 1,505 the mortgage, and 18,316 also receive the energy consumption supplement.
The object of the inclusion income, in addition to the economic benefit that covers basic needs, is the right to social inclusion by accompanying the beneficiaries, through inclusion itineraries, to prevent or improve the situation or the risk of social exclusion of the owner and all the members of the coexistence unit and thus facilitate the process of emancipation of people in vulnerable situations.
Women and the population between 41 and 64 years continue to be the most numerous groups among the holders of the benefit.
Thus, 66.45% (23,346) are women and 21,694 people are between 41 and 64 years old, while 921 are under 25 years old; 7,564 holders are between 25 and 40 years of age; and, finally, 4,947 are over 64.
