The owner of the Court of Instruction number 15 of Valencia has confirmed the processing of Monica Oltra for having covered up her ex-husband’s sexual harassment of a warded minor. The magistrate has rejected five appeals requesting an end to the case against the former Minister of Inclusive Policies and other senior officials.
The magistrate joins the reasoning of the prosecutor’s office which concluded that since all of the now defendants had been investigated for their participation, greater or lesser, in one way or another, in the two episodes in which the Court maintains the existence of indications of criminality justifying the subsequent course of the case, what claimed by the appellants appears to be a procedural impossibility.
Already in July of this year, the victim of the abuse of Oltra’s ex-husband requested 3.5 years in prison and 12 years of disqualification from public office. She accused him of prevarication, embezzlement and a crime against moral integrity, for trying to cover up her ex-husband.
