Valencia. Mónica Oltra, prosecuted for covering up sexual harassment…

The owner of the Court of Instruction number 15 of Valencia has confirmed the processing of Monica Oltra for having covered up her ex-husband’s sexual harassment of a warded minor. The magistrate has rejected five appeals requesting an end to the case against the former Minister of Inclusive Policies and other senior officials.

The magistrate joins the reasoning of the prosecutor’s office which concluded that since all of the now defendants had been investigated for their participation, greater or lesser, in one way or another, in the two episodes in which the Court maintains the existence of indications of criminality justifying the subsequent course of the case, what claimed by the appellants appears to be a procedural impossibility.

Already in July of this year, the victim of the abuse of Oltra’s ex-husband requested 3.5 years in prison and 12 years of disqualification from public office. She accused him of prevarication, embezzlement and a crime against moral integrity, for trying to cover up her ex-husband.

And, throughout this process, in Hispanidad we tell the story of Teresa, and the political misery of PSOE-Compromís from whom the Valencian Government itself took away her children.

After reporting the abuse by Oltra’s ex-husband, Teresa rebuilt her life, started a family and found work. But after the Valencian Generalitat took control of the Torrevieja hospital where she and her partner worked, they were fired. At that time, Justice accepted the young woman’s lawsuit against the Valencian Government for her dismissal. But, also at that time, deputy Joan Baldoví thought it was a “bad person” that a journalist asked him about this matter.

In short, we are faced with the story of a persecuted woman who, even more sarcastically, was a ‘protected minor’ by the Generalitat Valenciana. Now, remember the solidarity of Yolanda Díaz, Ada Colau, Irene Montero and even Ximo Puig and Joan Baldoví and Mónica Oltra’s concern for the vulnerable and her feminism in favor of the protection of women. With one exception, that of his ward Teresa.
