When the half hour was played in the La Liga showdown between Cadiz and Valencia, the away team left the field.

The club reports on Twitter that there is talk of racism. The club now announces that they will continue the fight, but that they mark their opposition to all forms of racism. Cadiz has not commented on the incident at the time of writing.

Diakhaby reacted violently to what was said in a situation with Cala. Several players were involved in the riots, before Valencia left the field. Diakhaby also received a yellow card in the situation.

Valencia have clearly distanced themselves from racism on Twitter, and also added a statement of support to their French midfielder:

The score is now 1-1. The aforementioned Cala had given the hosts the lead after 14 minutes, while Kevin Gameiro equalized five minutes later.

The match eventually started again, but Diakhaby was then replaced. During the break, Cala was substituted for the home team. His replacement, Marcos Mauro, eventually won the match in the 88th minute.

That sent Cadiz up to 13th place in the table – one point behind Valencia.

The Valencia players were told that they risked a penalty if they did not complete the match.

– If Mouctar had not asked us to, we would not continue playing. He himself could not. He was very far down. It was a very ugly insult, and I will not repeat it, Valencia’s José Gaya told Movistar after the match.
