Valencia angry with the referee’s decision to give a penalty to Real Madrid. They feel ‘robbed’ in the defeat at Madrid headquarters.
Valencia travels to Madrid’s headquarters at Santiago Bernabeu in continuation Spanish League, Sunday (9/1/2022) early morning WIB. Los Che came home empty handed after losing 1-4.
The visitors were frustrated by several refereeing decisions that went against them, including a penalty awarded to Madrid in the 43rd minute. Referee Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez pointed to the spot after Mouctar Diakhaby fouled Casemiro.
The penalty then gave Madrid the opportunity to open the scoring. Karim Benzema, who stepped forward as an executor, successfully carried out his duties.
“The robbery in Madrid is starting to become a recurring thing,” Valencia wrote on their official Spanish-language Twitter account, tagging the official account for TV series ‘Money Heist’.
The Valencia tease got a response from the Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.
“Don’t be so loud or you’ll be fined,” Pique wrote on his Twitter account, accompanied by a ‘shhh’ emoji.
The defeat to Real Madrid saw Valencia drop to ninth place in the La Liga standings with 28 points from 20 matches. While Madrid are increasingly comfortable at the top of the standings with 49 points.
