And the winner is… Valence! The Spanish city beat Cagliari (Italy), the other finalist, for the title of European green capital 2024. The announcement was made this Thursday evening, at Grenoble sports centercurrent green capital until the end of the year. The latter spoke in Spanish and particularly insisted on the city’s commitment to continue working, in collaboration with other European cities, to be more sustainable and welcoming. Valence received a check for € 600,000 for this title.
Green leaves 2024

Both were named co-winners of the title Green leaf 2024, the equivalent of Green Capital, but for smaller European cities (between 20,000 and 100,000 inhabitants). For the record, Tallinn (Estonia) will be the Green Capital of Europe in 2023.
