Prosecuted for presumably fatal errors, two anesthetists from the Sion Hospital were acquitted by the Valais justice, reports “Le Nouvelliste”.
–
In 2014, one of the two defendants, an assistant doctor, was left alone to take care of waking up a patient. But a monitoring device had not been connected and the emergency reintubation had turned into a tragedy, since the woman had died a few days later.
–
The practitioner and his superior therefore appeared before the Court of Sion for negligent homicide. According to “The Newbie”, the doubt benefited both defendants, however, as the judge ruled that it was impossible to say with certainty that these errors were the cause of death. So both doctors were laundered.

The public prosecutor could take the case to the cantonal court.
