“28 hours lost”. This is the count made by the parents of four classes of Pierre-de-Ronsard college, in L’Haÿ-les-Roses (Val-de-Marne), where a math teacher has not been replaced since… last November.
” Without news “
Parents do not hide their anger. A mother testifies toNews Val-de-Marne : “It’s absolutely scandalous. Our children have not been taught since November and the parents have not been informed of anything. We tried to contact the rectorate, we have no news ”.
Two 5th grade classes and two 6th grade classes would be affected by the absence of this teacher, considered a person at risk because of the health crisis: “This teacher was supposed to give his lessons at a distance. However, to date, neither the college nor our children have any news which represents 8 weeks without mathematics is already 28 hours wasted ”, we can read on a petition posted by parents. Who add:
“In addition, the fact of being deprived of compulsory education means that our children lose a chance of success in their exams and may affect their education and guidance. Our wish is to resolve this difficulty amicably by obtaining as much as possible quickly replace the failing professor “.
“No waves, eh? “
The parents of students had the support of their aedile, Vincent Jeanbrun (Free). The latter challenged the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, on social networks: “The parents of students have sent you 3 letters since the start of the September school year, all of which remained unanswered… But above all, no wave, eh? », He is scandalized.

“A degraded situation”
During a press conference organized on Wednesday, the rector of the academy of Créteil, Daniel Auverlot, reviewed the replacement of teachers in this period of the Covid-19 crisis. The latter did not hide the difficulties encountered since the beginning of the year: “There are teachers who have been infected with Covid-19, those who have been in contact and who must isolate themselves, as well as the fragile staff who teaches through digital tools. The situation in terms of replacements is more degraded this year, ”he conceded, before specifying that contract recruitments were planned for the secondary level.
It must be said that the situation of the Ronsard college in L’Haÿ-les-Roses is far from being an isolated case. Several demonstrations by teachers and parents of students have thus taken place in recent months, notably in Créteil, Ivry-sur-Seine or even in Vitry-sur-Seine. In the latter, a collective was formed and wrote an open letter to Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer.
