Shortly before 6 p.m., an accident involving three vehicles occurred on the D138 between the industrial area of ​​La Chesnois, on the outskirts of the municipality of Val de Briey, and Froidcul, in Moselle.

According to our information, a car was traveling between Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle when it left its path on the climb of this D138.

The vehicle crashed into two other cars coming in the other direction. The shock was particularly violent since no less than 16 Moselle firefighters as well as the Samu 57 were mobilized.

The main extricated victim

Concerns have mostly focused on a 24-year-old driver trapped in what was left of his Citroën C4. The emergency services had to cut the roof. The young man was evacuated from his pile of sheet metal in serious condition. “He suffers from a broken leg but his vital prognosis is not engaged”, we reassured the side of the actors of the intervention, led by the guard officer of Hagondange.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Bel-Air hospital in Thionville. The other two motorists involved were taken to the nearest CH: Maillot emergencies. The victims presented various traumas, their injuries were qualified as slight. It is a 51-year-old lady and a 19-year-old young driver.

The road cleared around 9 p.m.

The collision also had a big impact on traffic. This could not be restored until three hours later, around 9 p.m. The police were also on the scene to regulate traffic and secure the intervention of firefighters and the medical team. There were several police crews from Moyeuvre-Grande, but also from Val de Briey and Conflans-en-Jarnisy.
