Thiruvananthapuram: This year’s INA Hero Vakkam Khader Memorial National Foundation National Award was awarded to prominent MA businessman Per Yusufali. At a press conference, foundation officials informed that the national prize is awarded to great personalities in various fields.
The prize is awarded to Yusufali as a person who has rendered valuable services to the religious fraternity and has done great work in the social and philanthropic fields. Officials said Yusufali, a non-Arab citizen, was long-appointed member of the board of directors and then vice president of the UAE Chamber of Commerce.
Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will deliver the award at a ceremony at Ayyankali Hall on October 23 at 4pm. The inauguration of the National Foundation office building built on the land allotted by the government in Nandavan will also be held. Chairman MM Hassan, Operational Chairman Ananthalavattam Anandan, Secretary General MM Iqbal, treasurer BS Balachandran and attended the press conference.
