Vagner Love signs with Atlético-GO for 2024 Series A, leaves Sport in trouble

VAGNER LOVE FOR FLAMENGO

Vagner Love has a positive history in Flamengo. Despite not having won titles, the center forward arrived at Ninho do Urubu in 2010. During this period, the player played in 80 matches with the red-black shirt, in which he scored 47 goals.

After leaving the Flamengo em 2012, Vagner Love ‘went around the world’. This is because the center forward played for CSKA (RUS), Shandong Luneng (CHI), Corinthians, Monaco (FRA), Alanyaspor (TUR), Besiktas (TUR), Kairat (CAZ), Midtjylland (DIN) and Sport, before hitting with Atlético-GO. It will be the player’s 11th different club.

FLAMENGO SITUATION

While Vagner Love is agreeing with Atlético-GO, the Flamengo continues to work on assembling the squad for the 2024 season. The red-and-black club signed Uruguayan midfielder Nicolás de la Cruz, formerly of River Plate (ARG). Furthermore, Mengo is negotiating the purchase of defender Léo Ortiz, from Red Bull Bragantino.
