The reputation of the electronic vaccination log Meineimpfungen.ch is badly damaged. After the online magazine “Republik” and the “Handelsblatt” uncovered the serious security gaps, the project of the electronic vaccination card as a whole is at risk. As BAG director Anne Lévy confirmed on Wednesday, a vaccination certificate should still be available by Junewhich, among other things, could bring the vaccinated Swiss people the freedom they long for to travel.
Against this background, the canton of Bern brought its vaccination application called VacMe into play on Tuesday. It could provide the secure data basis for the Swiss vaccination certificate. All necessary data is recorded cleanly and securely on the Bern platform, says the spokesman for the Bernese health department, Gundekar Giebel.
