Between songs, the visibly moved singer complemented the moderator Miloš Pokorný, who recalled songs and films associated with Neckár. “The film was made in 1969, but it was in the vault for many years. We won the Golden Bear only in 1990 in Berlin,” recalled Václav Neckář about the film Skrivánci na niti. “It’s still good with dates and names. But it’s worse with the lyrics,” added the singing legend.

As part of the encore, Neckář sang one of his biggest post-revolutionary hits, Midnight.
