Václav Neckář scared the fans. The expected gala concert in Zlín for the singer’s 80th birthday is canceled without compensation. His group Bacily is not planning to play either, they announced in a message on social networks.
Fans who were looking forward to Neckár’s gala concert in Zlín are out of luck. “The Václav Neckář concert – gala concert for his 80th birthday will not take place on the planned date of April 8, 2024 from 19:00 at the Zlín Congress Center and is canceled without compensation,” reads the notification on the singer’s official Instagram.
And that’s not all – the group Bacily is canceling its performances from January 1, 2024 until further notice. “We apologize to all our fans and to all the organizers for the complications that have arisen. We wish you a beautiful, peaceful Christmas and a happy new year 2024,” the band said.
The concerts are ending, but neither the singer nor his band have given any reason for this. It is therefore not surprising that fans ask about Neckář’s health in the comments below the announcement.
It is known that movement difficulties accompany the singer since he suffered a stroke 20 years ago. This spring, he fell down the stairs and sprained his ankle, so he had to rehabilitate for a long time. Question marks hang over what is behind the cancellation of the concerts this time.
