With the first Johnson & Johnson shipment stopped at the Defense hub in Pratica di Mare, there are 200 Bergamo pharmacies on stand by. Federfarma Bergamo had already collected the willingness of Orobic pharmacies to start the vaccination campaign within their establishments: a campaign that between the city and the province – where the membership of the category was equal to 65%, slightly above the national average – could march at the rate of about three thousand administrations per day, considering an average of 15 vaccines per day for 200 facilities.
But the suspension of J&J has in fact postponed the departure. “We are waiting, we only need vaccines,” assures Giovanni Petrosillo, president of Federfarma Bergamo.
