TULA DE ALLENDE, Hgo.- The Health sector in Hidalgo is already providing vaccines, the basic schedule, to the Health Centers, as well as the tetanus vaccine for adults, after two years of national and international shortages due to the Covid 19 pandemic, reported the Undersecretary of Public Health of Hidalgo, Linda Vanesa Aguilar Jiménez.
Linda Aguilar said that in recent years there have been shortages of some biologicals, including the polio vaccine. She said that the lack of biological was being solved by applying the hexavalent vaccine to minors (diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus, haemophilus influenza, hepatitis B and poliomyelitis) and they already have acceptable coverage in our minors.
The also Deputy Director General of Public Health of Hidalgo, reported that the vaccine against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is already being applied to girls, with which this vaccine can prevent most cases of cervical cancer. if received before girls or women are exposed to the virus.
And I assure you that the tetanus vaccine for the elderly is already being dispersed in the entity’s health centers.
He also reported that in the coming weeks, vaccines against Covid 19 will be applied to people over 18 years of age to complete schemes and prevent this respiratory disease that is once again having a rebound on all in the municipalities with the highest concentration of people.
